Can the average person make money with the LifeVantage opportunity?

Well, first of all, “average” is a pretty low state. Frankly, I don’t really know anyone that I could call “average” that has been able to create a whole lot of success in anything. The average person, at least in the USA is someone that has a job, works for a boss, probably graduated high-school at least and is more or less content to be a slave to a corporation for the majority of their life in exchange for just enough pay to meet their bare-bones survival needs (just enough so their kids don’t starve to death). So that’s average.

The LifeVantage Reality

Let’s just cut the crap here and be honest with ourselves. The average person is probably never, ever going to even reach for an opportunity such as LifeVantage. And if you are reading this post right now I would be willing bet at least one of my fingers that you are considerably above average.

So then the question becomes, “Can the person who is somewhat above average make money with the LifeVantage opportunity?”

Well, you came here for the truth right?

Anything Wrong With LifeVantage?

The truth is that most people won’t ever make a dime with an opportunity like LifeVantage. Does that mean that there is anything wrong with LifeVantage? No. It doesn’t mean that at all. Quite frankly, LifeVantage seems to have their sh** together and it looks be a very good opportunity. The problem is not with LifeVantage at all really, perhaps other than the fact that the compensation plan isn’t exactly the highest paying one around. There are compensation plans out there that pay significantly more in comparison, but if you are someone who is really impressed with the LifeVantage products far be it from me to dissuade you just based on the compensation plan. Personally I like 100% commission programs, but I’ve been in the industry for over 14 years and I’m a bit picky. Anyway…

The problem is that most folks entering into an opportunity such as LifeVantage are doing so for the first time. There simply isn’t a whole lot of seasoned marketing professionals that are going out and joining network marketing opportunities like LifeVantage. There is a very small percentage of them. 99% of the new LifeVantage distributors will be pretty unskilled when it comes to actually marketing in a way that will provide sufficient income to be able to call it a “business”.

LifeVantage has a very typical MLM pay structure. The draw to something like LifeVantage is in the uniqueness and quality of the product, not in the pay plan.

The Key To Income With LifeVantage

There are some things you are going to need to understand if you are going to have any hope of making money with something like LifeVantage.

But who am I to give you advice anyway? Well, I began in network marketing in 1997 and I have experienced miserable failure as well as wild success. After many years in this industry I have seen it all. These days I work 100% on the internet with duplicatable lead generation and conversion systems and I do this part time and I still average 64.4 new enrollments each month… that is just me personally, not including what my down-line contributes to my organizations. I’m not telling you this to brag in any way. I’m just letting you know that I have been around long enough to observe some truths about this type of business.

But here is one of the first things that you need to know about network marketing and making money with a company like LifeVantage: If you are going to make serious money it will be based on your recruiting skills, not your product sales skills. If you are lucky your product sales will create enough commission for you to cover the cost of your advertising in the beginning while you build up your down-line. You don’t even have to be very smart to recognize that recruiting is what leads to the big money. Just look at the compensation plan for LifeVantage and see how the levels pay out. It is literally almost impossible to sell enough product yourself to create a good living from it. And let’s face it, a great percentage of the people who will join you in LifeVantage will be doing so only to get a better price on the product, or maybe they will find a coupled friends who will become customers here and there.

You are going to have to recruit a big down-line in order to get your income cranked up. That’s just the way it is.

There are only 2 ways to do such a thing.

One is to sponsor a ton of people yourself. I call this “Recruit Like Crazy”. Or you can use a duplicatable system which will allow you to sponsor several people who then will be able to sponsor several more, and so on. Without some sort of duplicatable system and educational (instructions) platform in place this is just about impossible. Believe me, I spent years doing training classes and meetings three nights per week for my teams. That was before the internet was really being used for such things.

These points are not generally something that will be told to you by the person who is trying to sponsor you into the LifeVantage business. 95% of them don’t even understand this to begin with.

Here’s what to do:

Get yourself up to speed on what it is really going to take to get a system in place that works for you, so that you will be able to predict what sort of business you will be doing on a weekly basis, and so that it is something that you can plan out because you understand what you are doing, rather than just jumping in and “hoping” that your cousin and your best friend will join under you. Otherwise you are going to end up like almost everyone starting out in this industry does… broke.
