Starting An Internet Network Marketing Business, What It Takes

I just wanted to share something with you that I was thinking about…

Last night I was talking to one my my new team-mates.

This is a person who is very new to internet network marketing, like several-weeks-new, and who is generating leads on a steady basis on auto-pilot. He has generated maybe 130 opt-in leads and begun a nice list build in just a few weeks.

Well, he had expressed some disappointment about not yet having brought as many people into his primary business opportunity as he would like up to this point.

I had to point out some things to, in effect, give him a “checkup from the neck up”.

I thought this might be of value to you.

I don’t know your whole story and I don’t know all about what you have going on exactly. But I do know that if you are reading this email right now that you are a person who was looking for help with your business.

This may help.

Firstly, this brand new internet marketer has already generated well over 100 leads. On top of that he spent VERY little time to do this. These leads came in almost completely on auto-pilot.

Understand that almost NO network marketers ever generate 100+ leads! Almost NO ONE!

If you are a network marketer and you have actually generated 100+ leads from scratch, and I’m not talking about your friends and family, then you are in a very elite group of network marketers.

I would say this EASILY puts you in the top 10%.

Do you see?

If you can generate 100 leads from scratch, then you can generate 1000! And 2000! And so forth!

Now this particular individual had not done any calibration of his auto-responder follow-up messages. He was just using stock messages, very general, not personalized at all.

He had not done any tweaking of his pages within his sales funnel.

He was just using the same content that he put up on day one.

And he had not called a single one of these leads!

And the number of people who actually clicked through to the appropriate pages to learn about his primary business opportunity is unknown.

This is because he has no tracking codes in place to measure this at this time, simply due to being new.

So, WOW!

This guy is generating leads at a steady and consistent pace, Man!

Everything else is tweakable.

And there is another HUGE point to this, just to get your thoughts heading the right direction.

Allow me to share with you just a bit of information about one of my cohorts, named Larry.

Larry was a guy that was in a very dire situation when he first began internet network marketing.

He had been doing off-line MLM for some time but was not making money. He was spending everything that he made on promotion, going to meetings, seminars, gas, advertising, etc.

So his commission checks were getting eaten up with earlier expenses.

He has 5 kids, from diapers to teenage.

And one day all his money ran out.

His gas was shut off at his house.

His only other source of income was his $9.25 per hour job.

Can you say “STRESS”?!

He had no options other than to succeed in his network marketing business.

It was all he had.

He had no money to promote.

He had to become the master of free lead generation.

So, using a couple of the free social media sites he created a marketing campaign, using some good, motivating ad copy and he began to communicate, and communicate, and COMMUNICATE!

To shorten the story, one of his strategies involved simply sending a message to other group members on the social site. His email contained very good copy, and a link.

Important to note is that he was not pitching his primary opportunity. He was just connecting with people. The former came at a later time.

But what is significant is the fact that he build up his members, groups, friends, etc., and then he went to work!

He sent out this message to 100 people, individually, every day.

And when that was not getting enough results he bumped it up to 200 people per day.

And when that was not getting enough results he bumped it up to 300 per day, and so on.

Well guess what?

When he got this up to 500, 600, 700 messages per day, the leads really were flowing in!

More than he could handle!

Now Larry makes 5-figures per month!

Well, what is the point?

The point is that, in my opinion, not even 1 person out of 1000 would sit there and put the time in, and be as committed as a rabid pit-bull, and as obsessed with building their business as Larry was when he HAD to get this thing going.

Most networkers treat this like some soft habit and, “well, maybe this will work”, and “…oh, if I get some time I will try such and such”, etc.

Muster yourself to becoming a completely obsessed and compulsive business builder for YOUR network marketing business.

Are you staying up until midnight and waking up at 4:00am like Larry?

Are you eating dinner at your computer so that you don’t miss a second in getting this thing off the ground?

What percentage of people do you think really attack it this way?

Listen, I have sponsored thousands of people. And I have observed many thousands upon thousands more on top of that, and I have observed thousands upon thousands of people in other organizations, those who were in the downlines of friends of mine who were leaders.

I can tell you with full conviction that not even 1 person in 1000 goes at it in this hyper-dedicated, mad-dog, no-holds-barred, “I’m a pirate”, “damn the torpedoes” approach.

So what if you just decided you were going to be like Larry and become a total zealot for your business?

Well, before you would have even got any results form this you will have already boosted yourself into about the top 0.01% of all network marketers on the planet.

How long would you have to do that, the study, the work the communicating, the development, etc. before you began to achieve the results you desire?

I get tired of hearing people complain that “This isn’t working…” when I know for an absolute fact that they are hardly doing anything.

This is YOUR business.

YOU are responsible for promoting it and MAKING it happen.

I’m just trying to keep it real for you here.

I can candy-coat things and make you feel all fuzzy inside for a few minutes and all that.

But the truth is that if you just dedicated yourself and became a mad dog from outer-space with OCD for building your business, there is nothing that could stop you…

… nothing but your own decisions.

Everything else is just pushing buttons.

Take a look at the concept of “if you want to earn more you have to become more”.

Do what almost no one else is doing.

Work with a tireless dedication that almost no one else has.

Be willing to learn the things that almost no one else

knows.

And so on…

You don’t have to do this forever.

You just have to get over the hump.

In short time what you will find is that you just know

more than just about everyone else that you meet in
