Press Release Marketing For Network Marketers
I have used press releases effectively for some time to get traffic to my sites. I have observed that most people in our niche — network marketing — have a skewed idea of what is the purpose of press release marketing and they end up spending tons and tons of time manually posting press releases or paying money to services to distribute press releases. This is a colossal waste of time unless you are a major company with well known branding and you are just keeping yourself known in the public or hoping to get the news picked up by other news outlets to further distribute the information about you. For a network marketer this is almost pointless unless maybe you are one of the very top performers in the industry and happen to have a brand which is newsworthy.
If you think that spending time and money putting out a whole bunch of press releases is going to get you income I think you are dreaming.
What Is Press Release Marketing?
For this niche, the purpose of press release marketing is simply for back-linking purposes. I believe that any value you would get strictly from the existence of press releases about your site or business in this industry would be extremely minimal and a waste of time. The back-links is the point. So you are trying to get your page found in the search engine for a particular phrase, then anchor-text back-links is what you would be shooting for. You want links back to your site from other high pagerank sites, relevant to the phrase you are trying to get found for.
Press release marketing the way I use it is so ridiculously easy that you won’t believe it! I’m talking about literally doing 6 to 20 press release submissions (TO THE PROPER PR SITES!) and watching those few submissions get syndicated into hundreds of different websites with your back-links going along for the ride!
The problem is that typically someone is trying to just get traffic directly from the releases themselves and they never do. So they spend tons of hours submitting press releases, not even realizing that almost none of those sites allow anchor-text back-links in the body of the press release.
There are only a handful of press release sites that allow this.
